Online Resources

Digital Editions of Stainforth's Library

  • Catalog Pages (PDF) — Every page of the manuscript library catalog with line numbers and page numbers. This serves as the key to our transcription of the manuscript.
  • Full Catalog in LUNA — This is a full scan of Stainforth's manuscript catalog on the CU Digital Library web site. It enables you to "flip" through the catalog, but it does not show the blank pages or the need to rotate the book to see the "Wants" list.
  • Auction Catalog (1867) — Google Books, scanned edition of the 1867 auction catalog of Stainforth's library, for Sotheby, Wilkinson & Hodge's auction. OCR is dirty but more reliable than the Gale online edition.
